5-touch follow-up for leads who don't reply
Stop leads from going cold after one unanswered message.
The problem
Most businesses follow up once and give up, but many leads reply only after several touches.
What it does
Sends a spaced sequence (text right away, then email on day 1, text on day 3, email on day 5, and a final 'should I close your file?' text on day 7). Before each touch it checks your CRM, and stops as soon as the lead has replied or booked.
- Import
no-reply-lead-nurture-sequence.n8n.json. - Provide STATUS_URL: an endpoint that returns {"replied": true|false} for ?email=... (Airtable/Sheets via Apps Script, or your CRM API). The 'Stop if replied' code nodes end the run when replied=true.
- Attach Twilio + Resend credentials. Note: long Wait nodes require a persistent n8n (Cloud or self-host with a database), not a laptop.
- Trigger it from your form or CRM by POSTing the lead to the Webhook URL.
Credentials: each HTTP node uses a generic credential (Twilio = HTTP Basic Auth with Account SID/Auth Token; Resend/OpenAI = Header Auth Authorization: Bearer <key>). Values like $env.BUSINESS_NAME read environment variables. On n8n Cloud, replace them with literal text or n8n Variables ($vars).
Make / Zapier notes
Compliance notes
SMS consent (TCPA / A2P 10DLC): Only text people who gave you their number for this purpose (form checkbox, booking, or past customer relationship for transactional messages). Marketing texts need prior express written consent. Register your Twilio number for A2P 10DLC, include your business name, honor STOP/HELP (Twilio handles STOP automatically), and only send 8am-9pm recipient local time. Email (CAN-SPAM / GDPR): Promotional emails need an unsubscribe link and your physical address; honor opt-outs. In the EU/UK you need opt-in consent.
Expected result
More conversations from the same lead volume. Many replies come on touches 2-5.
