The problem

Not all inquiries are equal. Owners waste prime time on tire-kickers while hot leads wait.

What it does

An AI reads each form submission, scores it 1-10 against your ideal customer description with a one-line reason, and posts hot leads (7+) to Slack with an @here. Everything else goes to a quieter channel.

● Imports in n8n 2.43.6, not yet run end-to-endDownload n8n JSON
  1. Import ai-lead-qualifier.n8n.json.
  2. Create a Header Auth credential (Authorization: Bearer sk-...) for OpenAI and set IDEAL_CUSTOMER (e.g. 'homeowners in Phoenix needing full AC replacement, budget $8k+').
  3. Create two Slack incoming webhooks and set SLACK_HOT_URL and SLACK_OTHER_URL.
  4. Point your form at the Webhook URL and send a few test leads.

Credentials: each HTTP node uses a generic credential (Twilio = HTTP Basic Auth with Account SID/Auth Token; Resend/OpenAI = Header Auth Authorization: Bearer <key>). Values like $env.BUSINESS_NAME read environment variables. On n8n Cloud, replace them with literal text or n8n Variables ($vars).

Make / Zapier notes

Make: Webhook → OpenAI 'Create a completion' → Router by score → Slack. Zapier: Form trigger → ChatGPT step → Paths.

Compliance notes

Don't use AI scoring to discriminate on protected characteristics (age, race, etc.). Score only on need, budget, location and timing. Tell people in your privacy policy that you process inquiries with third-party AI.

Expected result

Faster callback on high-value leads and less wasted time; the score history also shows which channels bring good leads.
